Manual Projection Screens for Home Theatres

Why would you choose a manual screen? If you're building a home theatre on a budget, a manual screen will be the least expensive screen to purchase and the easiest to install. No electricity required—but no interface with your home automation system either.

"Non-tensioned" manual screens (sometimes referred to as free hanging or conventional) and tensioned screens are available. On a non-tensioned screen the reflective surface is laminated to a woven textile base. The screen surface hangs suitably flat because of the stability of the material and the weight of the bottom dowel. Tensioned screens are made with a flexible, unsupported vinyl surface that is stretched flat yielding undistorted picture quality. Manual screens come in wall/ceiling mounted as well as ceiling recessed options.
